Partners' Women's Groups in the RACHP sector
INWIC collaborates with Partners hosting women’s groups across the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) sector. These groups provide training, mentoring and peer support, empowering women to grow professionaly and strengthen their presence in a sector with historically low representation of women. Conselho das Mulheres da FAIAR
Region: Ibero-America
The Women’s Council of FAIAR unites professionals from Latin America, Portugal and Spain. It promotes visibility, leadership opportunities, and capacity building for women across the region’s HVACR associations.
IOR WiRACHP
Region: United Kingdom
Hosted by the UK Institute of Refrigeration (IOR), WiRACHP supports women in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pumps. They run a blog, the State of Matter podcast and networking events, among other initiatives, to inspire and connect women in the sector.
Women in ASHRAE (WiA)
Region: International
Women in ASHRAE (WIA) promotes the participation, growth and leadership of women in building engineering and HVACR. Each ASHRAE chapter (local or regional groups of members) develops its own WiA activities, from mentoring and training to networking. The international WiA Leadership Symposium brings these efforts together.
Women in ISHRAE
Region: India
Women in ISHRAE promotes the participation and professional growth of women in the HVACR industry across India. Through networking, mentoring, and awareness activities, this initiative aims to increase visibility, leadership opportunities, and engagement of women members within ISHRAE and the wider sector.
IIR CaRe Working Group
Region: International
The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) CaRe (Careers in Refrigeration) Working Group includes a sub-group supporting Women in Refrigeration. It highlights their career paths and increases their visibility globally, promotes refrigeration careers, supports young women, and runs global initiatives such as the Women in Cooling Database.
U-3ARC Women’s Group
Region: Africa
The U-3ARC Facebook community brings together women from across the African refrigeration and air conditioning sector. It is a space for exchanging experiences, knowledge, training opportunities, and professional support.
Women in HVACR
Region: North America
Women in HVACR empowers women in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration through education, mentoring, and networking. They offer scholarships, an annual conference, and membership opportunities open to technicians, contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and more.
