As of 1 January 2025, the International Network for Women in Cooling (INWIC) welcomes its new President, Ms. Ina Colombo, and President-Elect, Ms. Mikaila Ganado, for a two-year term.
In this exciting new chapter, Ms. Ina Colombo brings over a decade of expertise in the engineering and research sectors. Currently the Deputy Director General of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), Ina is also the Secretary of the IIR Working Group on Careers in Refrigeration (CaRe), aiming in particular to attract more women to refrigeration careers.
Mikaila Ganado is the President of AIRAH and Associate Director of Women of AIRAH. A mechanical engineer by trade, Mikaila specializes in mechanical services and energy efficiency improvements in buildings. She is also a the Director and Owner of GWA Consultants Australia.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Colleen Keyworth, who served as INWIC’s President from its inception through 2024. Her dedication, vision, and efforts have been instrumental in shaping INWIC into a global network. Under her leadership, she made significant progress in building up the number of partners working with INWIC, and advocating for women across the cooling industry worldwide.
With her experience, energy and demonstrated commitment to advancing women in the cooling sector, Ina Colombo will aim to develop mentorship and career opportunities, and foster greater representation, visibility and inclusivity of women through outreach activities within the industry.
