The Dr. Charity Kpabep Award 2026 is an initiative led by U-3ARC in partnership with World Refrigeration Day, celebrating and strengthening the role of women in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector across Africa.
Building on the success of previous editions, this award continues to highlight the talent, technical expertise, and leadership of African women in cooling while fostering collaboration across regions and communities.
This year’s competition invites teams of two women from different regions to submit a 5–10 minute video demonstrating their technical expertise. Participants will showcase how to identify and diagnose common refrigeration failures, explain repair tools, and apply safety practices.

- Prize: €1000 + participation in the U-3ARC 2026 General Assembly in Rwanda
