On 24 September, INWIC President Ina Colombo met with Sokhna Fall Diawara, President of the National Network of Women in Refrigeration (RENAFF), and several executive members at the Social Integration Educative Centre in the Pikine-Guédiawaye suburb. INWIC counts several RENAFF members among its network.

RENAFF is an organisation dedicated to promoting women’s expertise in refrigeration, bringing together more than 200 female technicians across Senegal. Its members include students, teachers, employed technicians, and business owners, holding qualifications ranging from vocational certificates to Master’s degrees.

During the visit, Ina also took the opportunity to address future technicians, including several young female students, during an electrical engineering lecture. She encouraged them to pursue their studies and build successful careers in this growing field.

The meetings highlighted the enthusiasm of RENAFF members for knowledge exchange and their keen interest in SophiA cooling technologies. They also expressed their commitment to enriching the IIR Women in Cooling Database (already mentioned in this news) with Senegalese data from RENAFF members, further strengthening the visibility of women in the sector.
